Who i am.

I’m Malvika AK—an artist and architect who believes in pursuing multiple passions and creating work that spans diverse genres and mediums. The fusion of artistic exploration and architectural skills, fueled by curiosity and a love for storytelling, has defined my path.

My art reflects my belief in freedom of interpretation. I aim to create pieces that resonate differently with each viewer, allowing them to connect with my work on their own terms. My recent series, Echoes of Colour, is a deeply personal exploration of self-reflection, featuring darker tones and grainy textures to mirror the complexities of young adulthood.

I have also worked as the creative director for the band When Chai Met Toast, where I led visual projects including branding, costume design, merchandise, and stage design. My work as an art director spans music videos such as Run Closer (2018), Believe (2018), Khoj (2019), and Nee Araa (2019). I co-directed and created artwork for Maybe I Can Fly, and I wrote and directed Kahaani (2020) and The Sushi Song (2023).

In 2019, I launched Make by Malvika, a boutique stationery brand for creatives. It’s been an exciting journey to translate my artistic vision into functional designs that people can use in their daily lives.

When I’m not creating, you can find me practicing architecture, diving into new creative projects spanning Kerala and Dubai.
